But that doesn't mean that you are allowed to engage in any conflicts. You have only 12 mission opportunities in this mission - and you only get one chance to see the results of your actions, so you must use every opportunity you are given to prove yourself to the new leadership. Unlike previous missions, you are not allowed to select your own unit leader - instead, each squad has a random selection, and you are also not allowed to develop friendships or relationships with any of your teammates.
Now, Tom Wesselmann must take command of a battered and demoralised squad in Vietnam and assemble all the remaining members in an attempt to form an effective fighting force. The country is no longer under the rule of General Vuong, who is forced to leave the country following a coup d'etat staged by members of the military junta.
As he did in his previous game, Wesselmann is once again faced with the challenge of how to bring peace to a war-weary nation. Tom Wesselmann returns to the scenario where he first began with Conflict: Vietnam, a tale of civil unrest in Vietnam. A haunting depiction of an utterly bloody war, Conflict: Vietnam brings back the wonder and feel of that era, when the stakes were higher and the decisions even more difficult.
